  3. It is assessedBy someone qualified, on site.
  4. Work is agreedOnly then, and only if offered.

Start with the symptoms

Describe the change, not the fault. Ordinary words are best.

  • Sounding differentA new noise, a louder one, or one that has stopped. When does it happen?
  • Looking differentSomething visible around the equipment or the pool that wasn’t there before.
  • Running differentlyStarting, stopping or running at times it didn’t before.
  • Showing a messageAny text or light on a display, if you can read it from a normal, safe position.
Please don’t open or handle the equipment.

An enquiry never requires you to remove covers, touch wiring, reset parts or mix anything. If you think there is an immediate danger, keep people away and contact the appropriate emergency or utility service. This website is not an emergency service.

Assessment before a repair promise

A short description is not enough to diagnose equipment, and a quote for a repair written from a form would be a guess. The useful next step is to discuss an assessment.

The assessment establishes what is actually happening and whether it falls within the provider’s confirmed capabilities. You then decide on any work with a clear explanation of what it involves.

Confirm the right capability

Some work needs specific qualifications. It is only offered once a provider has confirmed it can do that work properly.

Not automatically included

  • RepairsDiscussed after assessment, where the capability is confirmed.
  • Replacement parts or equipmentExplained and approved before anything is ordered.
  • Electrical workFor appropriately qualified people only.
  • Leak detectionA specialist service, not part of a general assessment.
